Role Summary: The Accountant will manage the financial operations of the hotel, including bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly reports.
- Process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations.
- Support management with cost control and financial analysis.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or service industries.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of Trinidad & Tobago tax and payroll systems.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and time management skills.
