Job Vacancy: Line Cook

Location: Black Rock, Tobago (Applicants must be residents of Tobago or willing to relocate from Trinidad)
Role Summary: Waves Restaurant is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join our kitchen team in Tobago. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the restaurant’s standards while maintaining high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Ensure proper food presentation and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with food preparation, ingredient prep, and kitchen setup
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Monitor inventory levels at assigned station and report shortages
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Certification in Food Preparation, Culinary Arts, or Food Safety
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
