Role Summary: Whipped Restaurant is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to lead the preparation of high quality desserts, pastries, cakes, and baked goods. The successful candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and specialty items.
- Develop seasonal and signature dessert offerings.
- Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering baking ingredients.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
Ensure efficient production while minimizing food waste.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a restaurant, hotel, bakery, or café.
- Certification or Diploma in Pastry Arts, Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
