Job Title: Nanny / Childcare Provider (Toddler)

About the Position
Seeking a warm, mature, and dependable female nanny, ideally around 40 years of age, to care for our toddler of approximately 18 months. The ideal candidate is patient and nurturing, and will provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment that supports our child’s growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, day-to-day care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and diaper changing (and supporting potty training when the time comes)
• Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks appropriate for a toddler
• Maintain a consistent daily routine, including naps, meals, and playtime
• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, language, motor skills, and social development, such as reading, singing, play, and outdoor time
• Supervise the child at all times and keep the environment safe and childproofed
• Keep the child’s room, clothing, toys, and feeding items clean and organized
• Housekeeping duties.
• Keep family informed about the child’s day, including meals, naps, mood, and any concerns
• Respond calmly and appropriately to minor illnesses or emergencies, and contact parents promptly

Requirements:

• Female, preferably around 40 years of age
• Minimum of [2–3] years’ experience caring for infants or toddlers (professional or family experience)
• Verifiable references from previous childcare positions
• Valid Certificate of Character (Police Certificate of Good Conduct)
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, gentle manner
• Lives in or can easily commute to the Valsayn area

Preferred Qualifications

• Training or certification in early childhood care and education
• Non-smoker
• Basic cooking skills
• Comfortable with pets

N.B. One day off will be provided during the week.
