Role Summary: Grafton Hotel is seeking skilled Cooks to prepare high-quality meals that delight our guests. You will ensure food is prepared to standard, presented beautifully, and delivered on time while maintaining strict hygiene practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook dishes according to hotel recipes and standards.
- Assist in planning and executing menus.
- Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Culinary training or certification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook in a hotel or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Caribbean and international cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualities:
- Creativity in food preparation and plating.
- Experience with banquet or buffet service.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be flexible with shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
