JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Customer Experience Agent (Floor) role is to actively drive retail sales and elevate customer care standards through proactive floor engagement, clear communication, deep product knowledge, and strategic upselling. Team members in this position are strictly responsible for maintaining high standards of department housekeeping, proper stock presentation, and full compliance with internal administrative and stock release controls.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement & Sales Optimization

● Proactive Assistance: Approach and greet customers on the sales floor immediately. Do not wait to be approached; ensure customer needs are anticipated, handled efficiently, and managed professionally.

● Product Expertise: Maintain a thorough, up-to-date functional knowledge of all store merchandise, parameters, and sizes within your zone to confidently advise clients.

● Active Upselling: Identify product groupings and cross-sell accessories, add-ons, or alternative upper-tier selections to improve value and fully cover the customer’s technical project scope.

● Cross-Department Support: Assist customers anywhere on the retail floor when your area is stable or during peak congestion intervals to guarantee excellent floor service.

Operational Compliance & Administrative Controls

● Requisition Processing: Accurately fill out and write up stock requisitions.

● Supervisor Sign-Off: Obtain mandatory physical or system validation and signature from a supervisor or manager BEFORE any stock items are ordered.

Housekeeping, Presentation & Merchandising

● Stock Replenishment: Continuously observe display shelves and pull stock units to fill out gaps, ensuring retail shelves remain organized, dense, and properly displayed.

● Shelf & Product Hygiene: Perform continuous housekeeping duties including dusting surfaces, wiping inventory clean, and keeping floor layout walks clear and organized.
