Job Description: Traveling / In-House sales representative is responsible for overseeing the sale of products in our hardware store. This individual is one of the direct points of contact with a customer and in charge of ensuring a customer’s needs and expectations are met. Our sales representative should know their product or service inside and out and guide their customers through the purchase process efficiently and satisfactorily. As well as being able to travel to countries on behalf of the company to attend trade shows, events & purchase products for our hardware store.

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Must have a passport, and having a US Visa will be an asset.
  • Owning a vehicle would be considered an asset.
  • MUST have knowledge of hardware products, tools and building materials.
  • O’Level Passes in Mathematics & English
  • At least 2 years experience as a sales representative in a related industry preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
    Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains monthly or bi-monthly minimum goals
  • Completes market research and monitors competitor activity
