Electrical Engineer (Junior-Level, Project-Based)

Role Summary
As a Junior Electrical Engineer at KVR, you will support the development, deployment and optimisation of energy and automation systems, including instrumentation, monitoring and electrical diagnostics. You will work closely with our engineering and sustainability teams to enable AI-driven, emissions-reducing solutions that support industrial clients in T&T and across CARICOM.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the configuration and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems across field and industrial environments.
• Support remote and on-site commissioning for camera systems, UAV platforms, automation systems and energy monitoring equipment.
• Analyse system performance, contribute to reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Document field activities and support root-cause analysis for faults or system anomalies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability initiatives aligned with OGMP 2.0 standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in instrumentation, automation or electrical diagnostics.
• Working knowledge of camera systems, PLC/SCADA and MATLAB or Python/C++.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong discipline, integrity and team collaboration.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and cultural awareness and sensitivity across diverse teams.
Desirable
• Exposure to sustainability or ESG-focused projects.
• Field experience in plant or energy infrastructure.
• Interest in working with emerging technologies (e.g. OGI, UAV/drone systems).
